Getting Free traffic to your affiliate link

Affiliate marketing is great if you know what you are doing because all you have to do is direct visitors to a site with a great product that you trust and you can make money when someone makes a purchase. We are going to focus on free traffic. It’s one of the easiest ways to get started and you don’t need any special skills and it isn’t complicated. It will only cost your time to get going with it.

The internet is about information. People go online to find information most of the time. If you want to get traffic to your affiliate link you need as much information out there as possible. We are going to focus on article marketing but not in the traditional sense. And we are going to use Youtube and other video sites to promote “The Sweat Annihilation Guide.”

Your strategy for driving traffic and making money

  1. Write articles that are 100% unique that is focus on a keyword that can rank in Google with some traffic and do not require back linking.
  2. The articles should be place on web 2.o sites.
  3. Place “The Sweat Annihilation Guide” banners in the side bars and top of the site.
  4. Your goal should be to create 50-100 of these web 2.0 sites so you can begin receiving at least 100 visitors a day to make some money.

How do we drive traffic?

The big question is, how do we drive traffic to our offer? As mention earlier the more content you have out there the easier it is for you to be found. We’ll be using article marketing but not like everyone teaches it. You are going to place your articles on Web 2.0 sites. The ones that have a lot of authority and can get high ranking to get traffic fast. For example, sites like Hub pages, Weebly, Squidoo, Blogger, Wetpaint, Typepad, livejournal, Gather and others…

The ones you want to mostly focus on right now are Hub pages, Weebly, Squidoo, Blogger, Wetpaint, Typepad, livejournal and Gather. Since the Panda and Penguin update in 2012 Google gave a lot of web 2.0 sites quite a bit of authority. So you want to take advantage of this right now.

If you create a blogger blog you will get traffic guaranteed, if you are using the right keywords. Google gives a lot value to web 2.0 sites like blogger and others. The higher the page rank of the web 2.o site the higher your article will rank if it’s targeted and Blogger has a page rank of 6 and Weebly has a page rank of 8. So, you want to use all of the web 2.0 sites I mentioned.

The keywords you pick are very important

You can’t go after a term that has a lot of competition and think you will rank high in Google. You need to target low competition words to get them rank fast without much back linking.

A good rule to follow is to go Google and type your keyword in quotes (like this: “stop sweating and start living review”) inside the search box and use keywords that have less than 90,000 results when you type it in quotes.

Here is another example the keyword “stop sweating” in quotes has 915,000 competing pages that is too competitive don’t waste your time on it. When you type in “stop sweating and start living review” it has 77,500 competing pages this is perfect. We can go for this term.

How many searchers per keyword do you look for?

It’s not something I would worry about. Just use a term that gets some searchers per month and you should be fine. If you use between 50-100 keywords to write about you should get enough traffic to make a good amount of money. You can create a separate web 2.0 property for each article.

Use Google External Keyword Tool to look up keywords (your root term can be stop sweating, prevent sweating, hyperhidrosis treatment. You can do a search yourself for the right keywords. Type in the term inside Googles external keyword tool use the “Global search volume” to sort out your keywords by columns. Start by looking at terms that receive 800-3000 searches per month.

You can use terms with lower search volumes just know you won’t get as much traffic.

Here’s how to make certain Google knows what you web 2.0 site is about

  • You should name your web 2.0 page or site with that term:
  • blogger:  http://StopSweatingAndStartLivingReview.blogspot.com/
  • Squidoo: http://www.squidoo.com/Stop-Sweating-And-Start-Living-Review

Use your keyword and variations of the term on the page (variations of stop sweating are, stop head sweating, stop sweating naturally, stop sweating armpits, stop nervous sweating, just to give some ideas what I mean). You can find variations by typing the keyword in google and looking at the results at the bottom of the page. You should also use words like, click here, random words to keep it looking natural.

  • It’s not a good idea to keyword stuff your page make it will not look natural. You should try only if possible to include your targeted keyword in the first paragraph and maybe a couple more times within your article. If you stuff your free blog with keywords it will not rank by itself.
  • Another trick you can use is create strong anchor text within your free blog page in order to create backlinks right away. So link your web 2.0 site within the article itself.
